2026 Christmas Mini Sessions in North Miami: See This Year’s Holiday Setup

Christmas Mini Sessions are back, and I’m so happy to finally share this year’s setup.
For 2026, I wanted to return to a simpler color palette, something bright, festive, and versatile, so your outfits and personalities can really stand out. I was drawn to this backdrop because it has that mix of rustic and elegant. It feels warm and classic, but still clean and airy, which makes it easy to dress up or keep more relaxed depending on your style.
This year’s set features a fireplace scene with holiday greenery, lanterns, small trees, and seasonal details that photograph beautifully without overwhelming the people in the frame. It works especially well for families, children, couples, and individuals who want updated holiday portraits for Christmas cards, gifts, or simply to document this season of life.
A quick and easy holiday photo experience

One of the things I love most about Christmas mini sessions is that they are short, simple, and very doable for busy families.
My Christmas mini sessions in North Miami take place indoors and last 10 minutes, which is often just the right amount of time for young children. The pace is quick, but there is a lot of intention behind it. I come into every session with a flow already in mind so we can make the most of our time together.

We usually begin with a basic seated portrait and a few variations, so you get both a fuller view of the set and some closer images. From there, I bring in a few props for interaction, things like wooden signs, bells, or festive presents. Then we move into different groupings, such as the kids together, the children individually, the parents together, and everyone standing.
Even though I have a plan, the session is never rigid. I pay attention to how everyone is feeling and adapt as we go. My goal is always to guide you through the process while keeping things relaxed and moving quickly.
Designed for families, children, couples, and more
These Christmas mini sessions are open to families, children, couples, and individuals. They work beautifully whether you want a full family portrait, sibling photos, or a few festive images of just the kids.
Because of the size of the set, five people is the maximum, though I occasionally make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
For babies, safety always comes first. If your little one is not able to safely participate on their own, they will need to be photographed with a parent.
What to wear for this year’s Christmas minis

This year’s set is especially flexible, which is one of the reasons I love it.
Because the backdrop is simple and bright, a wide range of outfits can work beautifully. Coordinating colors and textures usually photograph better than everyone wearing the exact same thing. Neutrals, soft tones, deeper holiday colors, denim, cozy knits, and dressier looks can all work well here.

For this particular setup, I especially love:
red and deep burgundy
forest green
navy blue
tan, brown, and golden tones
even a touch of black
Pajamas can also work really well if you want a more playful holiday look.
I recommend avoiding large logos and very busy patterns. Most importantly, choose outfits that feel like you and that you feel good wearing.
A few tips if you’re bringing young children

If you’re booking with little ones, a little preparation goes a long way.
I always recommend arriving a bit early, avoiding session times that conflict with naptime, and letting go of the pressure for everything to go perfectly. Children do best when the adults around them are calm, and I truly have a lot of patience when working with them.
One thing that matters a lot to me is respecting children’s autonomy. I’ll always do my best to create beautiful images while working with who your child is in that moment. We do not need perfection to make meaningful, joyful photographs.
Helpful things to know before you come
A few practical notes:
Please arrive already dressed and ready for the session.
There is no waiting area, so I’ll have you wait in the car and come get you when it’s time.
These are indoor sessions, which makes them a great option if you want a holiday look without worrying about weather.
Current availability will be listed on the booking page, and I may add more November dates as needed.
